droo Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Two kinds of thread - English and Italian. AFAIK Campy are the only ones still using Italian thread. As for the English type, there are two kinds: Internal bearing - Square taper, Octalink, Powerspline, ISIS and a few others. External bearing - Shimano Hollowtech 2, SRAM GXP, FSA have one with a 19mm axle that only fits their cranks, and there are a million aftermarket variations on the first two. Hope this helps...
