There seems to be a lack of understanding of how a night race works LOL

Very very nice, please can we list this under events next time, will be nice if one can do this on a Friday or Saturday night

Well done to the Teak Place crowd for doing thisClap

There seem to ba a lack of bike lights.

How did you do? And Boredgirl and Jules?

I don't know about BG and Jules. However I can say I found the terrain very tough, even more so at night. I can not believe the pace that the front runners managed to sustain. Also had my DIY light fail early on (loose connector on the Buckpuck, which was all nicely secured inside the water resistant battery housing Embarrassed) and rode the rest of the distance with a 1W Luxeon head lamp.

Race was fine....had some issues with the bike again but what's new....

Got 2nd again, yay for me....Jules, as he mentioned on the other forum, didn't do the greatest due to lack of light....

So USN/Merida grabbed 1 and 2....Francois Theron and Philip Buys (sorry not too sure bout the spelling) then a Liquimoly Alex Pavlov. They all lapped me Cry and finished at 1hr or there bouts compared to my measely 1:44....I was frikkin slow last night...

Again great event, and I don't know what more we can do to REMIND people that there is a race.....I guess the 10 entries on cyclelab ain't enough. So.......peeps there's another 3 races this year pls be advised.

My disappointment was right at the end. I got called up with another 3 girls to find out "who finished where". I was like wth??? I got asked directly if I knew who crossed the line second. I just replied to the oke that that's his job, I can't be riding along in the dark and on top of that keep track of the finishes!!! At the end I just said that I never noticed passing Letitia, so she  must have won and that was that. Oh and the big Liquimoly guy...the one that started behind his mates.....dude.....we don't shove each other out the way at MTB races. This ain't the elite bunch so no need for elbows. Talk about roadie manners at MTB events.....I'd take an overlapping wheel over an elbow in my ribs any day!

Hi Boredgiirl

Sorry to hear that you had a problem with one of my team mates (Liqui Moly). If you say the big guy, then I think I know who you are talking about and can assure you that he in no way would intend to elbow you or push you in any way he is definatley not like that, but I will speak to him about the incident. Good Luck for the next race, we will see you there.Smile
