i prefer more technical stuff.

Any major climbs in the area.

most of my riding will be in the afternoon.

Jonkershoek - worth the 25min drive from there.

Then there is also Schapenberg and Helderberg Farm, although I don't have any experience with these.

There is also the Wannabees routes, which is mostly through the farms in the area, not too technical, and you will have to get a day permit to ride.

Jonkershoek! Helderberg farm, Wannabee's less technical tho. Leave Schapenberg its not technical.

Schapenberg is pretty technical. U obviously haven't ridden Hans se kop or magic mountain recently.

Riaan, let me know if u keen to ride schapenberg, it's great fun.

Fully agree, Jonkers all the way! Schapenberg was damn dissapointing and some dodgey okes hanging around in the area

If u don't get lost its fine. I ride there a lot and haven't had a problem.

U must be careful though, same as riding anywhere I guess.

I mostly ride alone and with my pepperspray on my top tube, BUT there's NO way I will go to Scapenberg alone, very dodgy and we had a couple of hijackings there.

Safest is go to Jonkershoek, there you can get all levels of riding/tracks !!!

Where do you get a day permit or a week permit.

how far are these entrances from Lourensford..

my guesthouse is 1km from Lourensford

Jonkers are great but traffic is too much that time of the day.

will probably go there once next week.

one the wannabees route is it a route thats pre layed out.

if it not too technical then atleast you must get some climbing in

i prefer those 90 min to 2 hour rides

500m to 1500 climbing

Timhoek

where do you live?
