Hi

There are some factors that could influence battery drain:

1) please check your plug contact points make sure they are clean and the contact points of the battery to the light, if there is any dirt in any form this can inhibit battery charge power and also battery drain.

2) please also understand that variables such as temperature fluctuations can affect battery output. Colder temperatures will affect battery power and drain the battery a lot quicker than it is rated.

Kind Regards

Thanks. I had the battery replaced by my lbs without any hassle, that I like.

What bugs me is that the specs on the box. say "up to 12 hrs on low", so to be reasonable I would imagine one could expect around 10 hours, given all the variables at play.

For the record, it was brand new, clean, dry and the ambient temp was about 16 deg C.

As a fallback position, I bought a 6 cell 13200mAh battery from another supplier, but haven't had a chance to give it a full-to-flat test.

Maybe also consider putting the supplier details on the box?

Currently waiting for the Surge people to call me.

I am reliably informed that a 6000mAh battery should give way more than 7 hours on low.

The Surge Batwing retails for R900 with a battery that claims to do max 12hrs on low.

Hi all, who sells SURGE lights in SA?
