You may be correct, it seems that if there are no pivots it is also refered to as a soft tail. :thumbup:

The pic on Ali Express is a soft tail, a damn beautiful one at that too.

The Moots here used elastomers to give around 1" of travel.

The problem with elastomers, you have to change them according to weight and they compress and become hard.

Some manufacturers started building their bikes around short travel air shocks.
