raleigh mrLTD or silverback mercury

hi there.

im new to the sport and looking for a first mountain bike! 

ive been looking for a while at bikes between 5K and 8K and doing lots of research on bikes for sale

im 5'10" well built and weigh 95kg according to what ive read up i need a med frame.

im just keen to ride average trails and get fit so i dont mind a 26" 

two bikes currently for sale are a raleigh mrLTD and silverback mercury that seem pretty good .

any advice would be very welcome

Ride them both and decide wich you are more comfortable on. My personal is the silverback. Better spec front forks and practically same as the rest if I recall. Had a Mercury 1 and was very good.
