Few things to check

* Update the firmware of your device

* Reset your setting and device

* Change your battery

* Make your magnet is out the outside spoke

* Check alighnment

* Make sure your Cadence sensor is enabled

More than this you can't really do much.

If it's still under warranty send it back.

I've just bought the Wahoo RPM cadence sensor, like the new Garmin Speed and Cadence sensors, works on a direction basis, each time it changes direction it registers a pedal stroke or in Garmin wheel sensor, a wheel revolution.

Big plus is no magnet needed, despite me selling stealth magnets.

Other big plus is you don't need a separate cadence unit for each bike, and on Garmin Edge you don't need to select correct bike to get cadence. I just mount it on my shoe rather than crank. Just swap over to MTB or Road shoe.

I chose Wahoo rather than Garmin purely because Wahoo is ANT+ and Bluetooth LE which means I can use it with Garmin Edge and my smartphone.

Works like a dream.
