Shipping in and around SA

Purchasing on the hub quite often, it becomes a problem shipping things, especially with the recent postal strike last year. I just want to know what shipping method you guys use, and how much it costs. It's a pain having to try all the different companies, and then finding them all exceeding their quotes or doing something else funny.

Any help or comment would be appreciated

For small items, I just pop into the nearest postnet and send it next day. Usually costs R100 and gets there in a day or 2 to major centres. I've also overnighted small items for R175: dropped off at 5pm in JHB, delivered at 10am next day in CPT.

Alternatively speed services overnight counter to counter is R75. But then you have to deal with SAPO and go stand in queues.

Safest and most reliable is always to make use of a good courier service.

Which is why all us Distributors and some LBSs do so and have dedicated courier services.

Don't have time and not going to run the risk with SA PO at all.

Been there done that

Courier guy is fairly cheap for small items delivered door to door overnight.

For the bigger things i use conrad boulle from first freight he is a hubber too and rates are very good infact.

Postnet R99 option I use only when iam sending things to a area where courier will work out more like to P.E or a not so major city.

I have just sent wheels by Postnet. Joburg to Cape Town cost R140 and Hout Bay to Joburg was R99! Go figure! But for R140 they packed the wheels, two separate packs was best, most compact.

Courier Guy is also quite good

SAPO is a lucky dip .......mostly unlucky...
