Hi All.

So i will be moving back to Durban in June and will need to continue to ride through winter, especially in the week. I live in the merewent area and there isn't many cyclist around there... nearest is Bluff and i'm just wondering if theres anyone who ride around there on weekday mornings who I can join ? Nothing serious, 25-35km to start.

Thanks in advance.

Can't help you out with weekday rides but if you are keen to join a club, East Coast Cycling rides every Sat and Sun from Suncoast right through winter.  6.00am start until end October and then back to 5:30am from November to end of March.

We generally have 4 batches A - ±29kmh, B - ±26kmh, C - ±22kmh and D - ±18kmh

Saturday rides are around 70 - 90kms for A's and B's, 50 for C's and 35 for D's

Take a look at our website and download a membership form if you are keen - www.eccc.co.za

We go by the reputation as being the "friendliest club in town"

I see you are coming down to ride the Tour Durban on the weekend.  Please for free to come over to our gazebo at People's Park afterwards.  Ask for Daryl or Tom (tombeej).  He joined the club last week and should be the first one back in the hut!

Cheers

I am part of a group that ride from Yellowwood Park, Montclair. We ride Merewent direction twice a week, Umhlanga direction weekends, normally. We also mountain bike a lot in Stainbank Nature Reserve, it is very nice there.

Hi Daz. Thanks, joining a club is definitely something I want to do when I move to Dbn so really keen on this. I'm still slow and will drop into the C group For now. Will pop by after the ride.

Thanks Martin, starting at yellowwood park might be too far but thanks for the offer.
