Runbikeswim Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 My strava is set to sync with my garmin connect. When I upload data it pushes it to strava. Problem is when I ride and in that same ride a do a duplicate loop, e:g I ride dam to albertsdal to dam, down Spruit and back to alberts farm ( essentially riding dam to alerts twice) my garmin and garmin connect sees the second time and adds the km but strava removed it?
WR 1.0 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 never happens on mine and I have same set up but have a different problem, I always get a second ride with only 10-100m showing. The short ride always shows up first with the correct longer one syncing a few minutes later Ps. sorry for the hijack
Runbikeswim Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 I use a garmin, upload to garmin connect and then it pushes to strava... My only guess is that strava discards the "duplicate section. As it sees it twice in the ride?

Frosty Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 No problems with duplicate sections for me. Happens every weekend due to the nature of our club rides - short ride for the guys wanting extra mileage before joining the club ride. Upload to GC which then updates Strava and other apps automatically.
