Coetzenburg trail fairies

Rode through a whole lot of new and re-worked trail in the Coetzenburg forests, mainly from the mini technical rocky section at the top down through the valley and back up a few times cause it was so fun. It seems there is also a trail that runs next to the vineyards coming from G-spot and drops straight into the valley below the rocky section which I didn't ride.

I'm not sure if I'm being ignorant or if it's a well known thing but whoever is building there, thank you! With Jonkers out of action for a while its great to have some more trail options for a short afternoon ride. Would love to help out if you need a hand.

Saw a group of trail-builders fairies working on the new XCO segment the other day... before 08:00 in the morning!

The new trails are lekker fast and a bit technical here and there. Really fun!

If so, are they open to public riding?

Yes, same trails and open to the public.

"I'm not sure if I'm being ignorant or if it's a well known thing but whoever is building there, thank you!" The Ace of Spades.

Otherwise known as Bennett-I-can-jump-anything-on-a-29er-Nel.

It really is a fantastic little addition: fast, flowing jump line with a proper, technical, rock garden. All contained in quite a small, easy to lap area.

Start at the Eden gate. Climb through Eden forest up, go down G-Spot, climb up G-Spot and through the forest. When you get to the horse stables, turn right and go up the hill as far as you can before the loose rock section starts. The track starts there to your right. Beware the one meter drop-off in the rock garden!!!

"Beware the one meter drop-off in the rock garden!!!" One of the trail features that makes this a great multi-use venue: for XCO and more gravity orientated riders alike.
