Alain10 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Hi, Quick question: running a CycleOps power tap wheel on my Cannondale Scalpel (Thru axle) and have noticed lateral play on the wheel. Still new - purchased mid-end March 2015. Anyone else experienced any problems?
David Marshall Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 There should be little or no lateral play. I would first check the wheel for play in another frame if you can just to be sure that it is not suspension play that you are feeling. Otherwise I suggest you take it to your supplier to get checked out. Those hubs have standard cartridge bearings and stiff axles so play should not be apparent.

I actually just send my PT up to JHB today - it stopped working due to training in the rain :'( but might get fixed under warranty, holding thumbs! - FYI - I've been riding with PT for about 8 years and have never experienced lateral play..
BicyclePower Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 There should be no play, please bring/get the wheel in to us and we can inspect and carry out the necessary repairs. If you are able to bring it in you will be able to wait for it, normally to do bearings takes +-30min.
