The weekend is going to be a JOL..........with a lot of dust (winter season). Staying over for the week thereafter and will be cruising through the bush (as much as possible).

Hope the weather will be nice.

I have an entry to the 60km race on the Sunday at 9am, free to a good home. Cant make it anymore, apparently other peoples kids parties are more important than MTBing.

Ooooh.......I am gonna miss you (in theory). Sympathy vibes.......hope there are some goodwill returns.

Great race! The sand made for a few laughs, but otherwise very flat and fast. O and one guy got run over by a zebra, unfortunately no gopro footage, but the guy was fine!

.......and the zebra had a good chuckle. Apparently a kudu cleared a fence yesterday that left some riders bewildered. Saw a kudu cow and calf leaping the track on the twisty section.......special.

Sondela is really making an effort to make it a nice experience for all. Credit needs to be given to all involved and Bestmed for the support.......and Mel with his staff is top class. Emergency services noticeable.

Now that green grass was something special.........

.......en nou gaan ons BRAAI!

(well shortly)

How is Sondela after that tragic fire a few years back. Have they rebuilt the chalets? We used to camp there, and ride through the reserve. It was easy enough for littlies, and great for game spotting too! So many mtb encounters with animals...

We are staying over in one of the new chalets (6 sleeper). Will post pics tomorrow. They have really done a great job on rebuilding.
