K2C-CycleTour Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Event Name: K2C Cycle TourWhen: 22 August 2015Where: From Kruger to Blyde Canyon -through Big 5 country, LimpopoCategory: MTBThe K2C cycle Tour offers experience offers the “serious cyclist” the opportunity to participate in a unique and select riding experience through some of the most renown private game reserves bordering on the Kruger National Park. The route is about 95km in length and starts at the edge of the Kruger National Park (near Orpen Gate) and heads off through the Timbavati, Thornybush and Kapama Private Game Reserves and then crosses the R40 and continues into the Moditlo and Blue Canyon Conservancies. All of the above mentioned reserves and conservancies are Big 5 areas with phenomenal scenic vista’s. The Cycle Tour is the initiative of the proposed Hoedspruit Rotary Club and will be set up as an annual event in order to raise money for a number of Anti-poaching, Community Conservation and Education projects identified within the K2C (Kruger to Canyons) Region. The current format is a single day’s event, however, it is the long term plans of Hoedspruit Rotary to extend this into a 2 or 3 day staged event in a few years time that will see the current route extended further through other Big 5 Reserves as well as continuing up into the Blyde River Canyon. We will certainly keep all cyclists up to date with any developments in this regard in years to come.Go to Event Page

K2C has been around for many years, and right now, this new race does not even feature... [edit] - Or does this now mean I can go around calling my Bergamont MTB a Giant, since I plan on buying one within the next year??
