i went campy and works well but had to do it again would have gone sram. campy just cost a lot if something goes wrong or you want to replace or upgrade something.

but then again nothing really goes wrong with it.

How hard could it be for Campag to make a MTB group?

Nows the time for them to enter the market, make an 1x11 speed group, less parts and engineering/R&D needed. I would love some campag stuff on my MTB. Eeish but limited dealer network for campag, lbs that carry their stuff let alone that can special order it is few and far between. Imagine the lbs wouldn't want a whole new brand/groupsets to support and carry spares for. Apparently Sram alone makes almost 40 different FD just for MTB.

I think the mtb boat has sailed already, and Campy missed it.

Europe is still where the core of road racing is, and Italian road stuff is part of that core and its traditions. Mtb is not so Eurocentric - for example: Colnago road bikes are sought after, and there is a waiting list for c60 frames. On the other hand, Colnago mtb frames dont sell nearly as well.

Im sporting SRAM on my Bianchi

Before you poop your Red White and Green undies, my 2007 Bianchi 49-52-98 Carbon Lug is apparently a mix breed.  The Tubes were sourced from Japan, the Lugs from Germany and the art was assembled in Italy.

Though if I ever get my hands on a Colnago, Campy all the way!

most Colnagos are now built in the Giant factory in Taiwan. Only top of the range model (currently the c60) is Italian.

Ps, I have not got anything against Eastern made bicycles. I do however not like companies that charge a mega premium for stuff that was manufactured very cheaply.

I'm only interested in older models. Going to the states soon so I will have my pic on the second hand market :)
