Good day, I would just like some advice please.

I have an Formula RX brakeset on my bike (GT Zaskar expert aluminium 2011). When I tried installing new brake pads I noticed the rear calipers leaking. I took the bike to my lbs who confirmed this, and they informed me that it would be best to send the calipers to Formula to get fixed. The front calipers also struggle to retreat when used (pushed), so that probably needs a service too. Has any one dealt with a problem like this? Is it worth the wile sending the calipers to Formula to fix? Should I just buy a new brake set?   I am running on a student budget

Thank you

Hi There

Best bet would be to get the brakes in to us through your LBS so that we can inspect and advise on how / what needs to be done to get them sorted. Its very difficult to give an idea on price without having the brakes in hand as it could be anything from a R80.00 seal to a R400.00 piston kit.
