Reden Posted August 19, 2015 Share I cant get one of these frames for a very good price. It is old stock but brand spanking new.The Byo gets listed as a Triathelon/Road race bike from the little bit I found on the Internet. The Cartesio is a all out race frame. Byo: Looks awesome but paint scheme dull.Cartesio: Looks bit "Conventional" but paint scheme not so dull. Whick one would be best suited for road racing? shaper Posted August 19, 2015 Share Byo is definitely an aero/tri bike... made for going in straight lines, tri bikes are not great for cornering, can be jittery. If you are road racing then the Cartesio my 2c
bontie Posted August 19, 2015 Share The Cartesio should be better, but I hope you are paying very little for it.Its a heavily outdated generic Deda frame that Guerciotti simply put some paint on. It is not really a "Guerciotti" - it was known as a Dedacciai Black Pearl, IIRC The same was done by Ciocc, Ribble and I believe Guru too.

Have never seen the Cartesio, but at one point all SA carbon Raleigh's were Deda's too as with Avante (a New Zealand brand). It's not a bad thing because Deda makes some real quality stuff. bontie Posted August 20, 2015 Share Agreed Eugene, I am a fan of Deda too. But fact remains the Black pearl is at least 6-7 years old.
