TrailWorx Nelspruit event (31 Oct-1 Nov)

Hey guys,

Alright, after the awesome event we attended at the #dustinrudmaninvitational we are more motivated than ever to get a similar Gravity FUN event going at our home track in NELSPRUIT namely TrailWorx...some or most of you are probably familiar with our track as you've seen the page and what we do there.

So...in order for us to pull off a successful event in the next 9 weeks or so we need to get an idea of interest and attendance from afar and near! We want to do the event on 31 Oct-1 Nov...any later than this we will face heavy rainfall in the lowveld and don't want to be washed out by rain.

There will be B-lines around all major features and the track is rideable on a hardtail or a full on XC bike...it will be two days of epic riding with practice on the sat and race day on Sunday. There will be a Beginner/Novice friendly trail so it will be fun for all the kids and wife's!

We will have the following classes;

DH Speed and style

3-4 Stage enduro

Whip off/Big air

Beginner/Novice Class

You will be able to enter both enduro as well as DH class but on discipline specific bikes to keep the playing field equal. If you do more than one class the second class entry will be at a reduced rate.

We will also take into consideration people coming from far and try have the race and prize giving done by 1pm on the Sunday.

So, what do you okes say?

The date ties in nicely with the remaining events for this year as well as payday!

Howick Enduro - 24th October.

Trailworx - 31st October.

Hakahana champs - 29th November.

What will your entry fee be?

Camping facilities available?

This will be wicked and I'm so keen to get down to the Trailworx for a long weekend. Not sure I can do both Howick and Nelspruit though so will have to probably decide on one...

Hi guys, ok so its official! Our first event is happening on the 31st Oct-1 Nov 2015. There will be a 3 Stage Enduro race bridging off the main track. Two Downhill runs on Sunday using two dofferent lines for each run. A whip off comp and a fun kiddies race! This event is truly for the whole family! There are B-lines around all major jumps and drops so don't let that put you off. Spectators will be entertained with the elite riders getting air on the big jumps and drops...food and drinks will be available. Camping facilities available 2km from the track, alternatively there are many B&B's and guest houses in the area! Any questions please feel free to ask! I'll also send out some info for more accommodation soon!

Please note, you can enter BOTH the enduro as well as the DH on discipline specific bikes to keep the playing field equal! So you enter your first class at R150 per entry and the additional class at R100...just to clear that up.

How soft are those landings? It looks like 'beach sand' in the pics..

(On the facebook page I think I actually saw a little boy tryinf to build 'sand castles' in on of the landings ..hehe)

Some action pics and build pics! the double jumps have been made into table tops to make things safer. All of the jumps have been built with safety in mind! The landings are wide and long with takeoffs that won't buck you over the bars! Lost of time, money and effort has gone into TrailWorx! Hopefully we see quite a few guys coming from all over for a fun weekend out on bicycles!

Landings are rock hard and compacted bud! The landing on the drops looks soft as we had some cattle trying to do the drops the other day! Seems like they landed pretty hard with some cases going on! Haha. Landing will be smoothed and groomed for the event! ;-)
