I remember the huge uproar the Durbie dash caused last year. Giving bottle openers instead of medals. Your race is great, the cause is fantastic, my mother has breast cancer. Did the race the pevious 2 years. Sadly, this year i am going with the trailseeker Hermanus race. Best of luck.

Hi @JohnyBravo ... we have about 400 medals available that will be handed out to the 5km and 12km riders as well as those who really want a medal ... we have foreseen an uproar ... and made a plan . Anna_Afrika Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 YOKOHAMA KING AND QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN The Yokohama KOM & QOM will form part of our 60km grand-stand event where the first male and female riders to crest the KOM & QOM hotspot will each win a R2500 Yokohama gift voucher to spend on Yokohama tyres at any of the Tiger Wheel & Tyre stores in the Western Cape. The KOM & QOM hotspot is approximately 27km’s into the race and will be forewarned with a “500m to go” sign. If you are not in contention for the KOM & QOM title, then this is a perfect moment at the crest to appreciate the panoramic breathtaking views from the top.

The 5km race has sold out and we cannot wait to see all the kids line up at the Start line this year. They are the future of our sport!
