Sani2C trail 2016

So I registered for the Sani2C trail event in May 2016 today (not exactly timeously) and my status is wait list 326.

 

Have a couple of question I was hoping the experienced bunch here could answer

 

1) Does the status mean we are 326th on the waiting list?

2) If so what is the probability of getting in? 

3) What is the mechanism through which those on waiting list get in,  ie only getting in if people drop out or is there another random draw?

 

PS did put the above past the race office as well but they simply said: we'll tell you if you're in

1 - Yes

2 - Small - if you can buy an entry off someone - do that.

3 - Drop outs and resales - done in order of the waitlist number I understand, unfortunately most people sell their entries privately and don't go via the organisers.
