Has anyone imported a frame from China (dengfu or any other supplier from China).I need to know what was the total cost and all the "hidden" fees without all the calculations, so first hand experienced buyers would be highly appreciated. Mörton Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Just watch out for 6061 and other 6000 series aluminum from china, it must be tempered correctly and double butted is better than single butted. The 7000 series aluminum is better. Some frames is okay. We've build many custom road bike.
dillon Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 just go to aliexpress.com you will get all the manufacture's products there. I paid $340 for a mountain bike frame shipped to my door. The Chinese guy marked the value as $5 so i paid R25 vat and clearance fee. (this is normally 15% + R150 )
