rouxtjie Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 good to know lads....hell droo's reputation precedes him. Word of mouth is the best ad imo. When my old reba / pike needs a damper service I will deffos use him
AlanD Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 While we on suspension, i had my shock (RP23) serviced by Omnico????a while back as it was leaking at the lock out lever. They seemed to do a good job nut had to replace the stantion as it had a scrap/scratch on it. Ever since, there is some "leakage" that seems to come from the canister, not alot but dirt accumulates round the o-ring due to this. Also noticed on the last ride that the o-ring went down a tad further on the stantion. Normal? Problem? Needs service/rebuild?
droo Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Sheesh. Thanks guys. I'm *** at making speeches so I'll just give everyone 10% off a suspension service if you PM me a booking before the end of November. To the out of town contingent - Postnet do a really good deal on counter to counter shipping and they're just round the corner from us if you're looking for a decent courier. Happy trails!

A certain amount of oil leaking past the wiper is normal, especially straight after a service. When it stops it means there's no more oil inside and it's time to get it checked out again. If you're using more travel than normal, check the air pressure - shocks do slowly lose air over time. You may also just have hit something a bit harder than usual - the only time I go through the last few mm of travel on mine is when I run out of talent.
