gummibear Posted October 29, 2015 Share What type of riding. Problem is most of the nice wide casing tires is intended for Enduro and Downhill. So you end up with nobbies like the Drakensberg and it weighs >1kg. I want big volume with low rolling resistance for my rigid SS My Hans Dampf is killing me on the XC course. On the Web I have seen a 2.4 Maxxis Ikon which I think will roll good and have acceptable weight. But I have been able to get them in SA. Maybe try this. (Looks like it will roll good) http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/maxxis-holy-roller-mtb-tyre/rp-prod78370Tossed my HD and on a 2.35 Muddy Mary on the front now. JohanMalan Posted October 29, 2015 Share Running New Nobby Nick 2.35 on Wide lightnings, Fantastic!!It is the snakeskin , so weighs about 770gr, but this is still about 100gr lighter than Hans damf 2.35 SS. Also a lot lighter than other wide tyres.I have also used the 2.25 NN and it is the size of most other 2.35-2.4 tyres when fitted to Wide lightnings.
