Good day all,

I have been searching this forum and waiting for someone to write a proper review on these?

I know they are available at a few shops around JHB.

I am seriously considering them but cant get myself to buy them without some proper feedback.

Is there anyone on here that has tried them?

What are the Pros/Cons/riding characteristics?

Hey Wikus,

I have actually taken the plunge and put them on.

Only done one short ride on them but will give them a better run this weekend.

Pro's

They were surprisingly comfortable - lighter than I thought as well.

Rode through glass - not a scratch

Definitely a great training tyre.

They also roll quite well

Cons

My only concern was they felt a little slippery round the corners.

Once they on, you have to cut them to take them off.

The price competes with tubbies.

A friend (no, really!) was asking about them. Are you still running them? What are your thoughts now after a while?

Anyone else tried them yet?

One of my club mates was selling them, and I think still does.

A few club members put them on and enjoyed them for a few rides. But they struggled to keep up on the faster rides, and couldn't understand until they rode with tyres/tubes. They haven't used them since (almost a year).

I think it's great if you commute, or on a social bike (critical mass, coffee rides, etc), but for hard core training... um, No!
