WKNDWRRR Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Hi Y'All I bought a Knog Blinder rear light from takelot.com in August on their 'Daily Deals' promo.I had read that they were great lights but the strap broke easily.I refused to believe it, but I should have because my strap has just broken Luckily it broke when my bike was at home, not out on a ride.It must have just snapped, because I found it on the floor next to my bike. It didnt happen while I was taking it off or putting it on.Anyway, anyone dealt with Knog warranties before? Do I just take it back to takealot and let them deal with it?Quite disappointed because its and awesome little light, just a pity about the fixing strap. Anyone McGyvered these things with a more reliable strap?
raptor-22 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I have taken 3 of those back.They were replaced free of charge each time by bridge cycles.The last one that broke they upgraded me to the blinder with three leds plus one hyper bright led. That one has not broken yet
Andrew64 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Cut the ends off and secure the two ends with a small cable tie, then loop a O ring to them. This lasts longer but will also break eventually.
