Just some feedback if anyone is interested ....

Was well worth the drive there from Alberhoughton, took just over an hour. James was there welcoming everyone as they arrived and had a lekker chat about the route.

It is a 'proper' MTB route and not a dirt roadie race but despite that there was nothing dangerous. As someone mentioned the first half of the lap is relatively flat and with some nice singletrack that is for sure not manicured but from there a couple of pretty tough climbs which with 34*11-42 were damn hard work and I had to 'klap 'n toon' once or twice which had more to do with line choice or traction issues. The singletrack back down the mountain is sublime and made up for the suffering that's for sure :)  ..... I enjoyed the second lap far more, I guess as I paid more attention to the lines and gear I was in. Route was very well marked but one does need to focus and not ride with that head down approach we sometimes fall into!

Also helped that the weather was absolutely perfect, blue skies and not extremely hot.

All things being equal I will be back for some more in the future, thanks James!
