Fire along R27 - risk to Koeberg nature reserve

There's a fire raging along the eastern side of the R27 that appears to have jumped the road and started up in the reserve. Hopefully its not too bad in the reserve, but anyone intending to ride here today should give it a second thought instead.

Hope the game will be able to get out of the way of the fire.

so far, the fire is moving at a fairly rapid pace up the R27 in a northerly direction. Received word that the R27 which is closed to traffic from the melkbos turn-off, in the direction of Atlantis.

But no major break outs in the reserve itself. The small fires that did break out in the southern portion of reserve, or on the verge of it, were quickly killed. So looking good for the kudus and bokkies.
