The Trans Outeniqua MTB tour will start at Pine Creek River Resort in Great-Brak River and will take you over 3 mountain ranges, the Langeberg Mountains, over the Rooi Berge and over the Outeniqua Mountains. It is 3 days of exhilarating riding along and over the mountains. This is great long distance training for the Epic, but doable for the intermediate to fit Mountain biker. No technical riding. Stay at 4 star accommodation and get spoiled with a 20 minute massage Friday and Saturday so that your legs are ready for the next day.

 

 

Please note this is a Tour, not a race, you go your own pace. Great training for the for Epic or any other Endurance race. Take the Edge of racing and come and enjoy the Tour with us. Make new friends along the way.You can enter as a Solo, but you just need to share with somebody else unless you pay the single accommodation option.

Event Format: Pairs (limit to 25 Pairs) Solo options available

 

Distances:

3 Day: Day 1: 136km; Day 2: 80km and Day 3: 120km

 

Entry Fees:

Standard option: Sleeping in a loft room (2 – 3 star) the 1st night at Rooiberg Lodge and a standard room (4 star) at De Zeekoe Guest Farmor De Denne Guest Farm: R 4 900 pp (sharing accommodation), or R 7 900 Single accommodation option

Luxury Option: sleeping in a chalets with your own room and bathroom at Rooiberg Lodge (4 star) and a Superior or Luxury Room (5 star) at De Zeekoe or De Denne: R5900 pp sharing or R9000

 

Single accommodation Includes 2 nights accommodation, 3 meals a day, 20 minute massage each day, transport of all your gear and everything else below. An optionally extra night accommodation Breakfast included) available on the Thursday evening: R700 pp

The accommodation is 1st come 1st serve, the sooner you enter the better the accommodation option. A shuttle can be organised from George Airport to Pine Creek River Resort and back to the airport after the Tour for R300 pp

zip lock bag to keep phone dry

Emergency food

Water bottles

Sunscreen (factor 50)

Outer shell jacket (waterproof)

First aid kit

 

Please ensure that you have the compulsory equipment with you at all times during the race as conditions change quickly up in the mountains.
