lezyne lights

I purchased a lezyne light from CC gallery in Umhlanga...very impressed with how bright it is...has a variety of flashing modes etc etc.

 

Went out for a ride...battery life was good...it has a green and red indicator light to indicate the charge.

 

Got home after the ride and tried to charged it...put it on charge nothing happened...no flashing charge light...so i left it for a day in the charger...took it out and pressed the button to check if it was charged...red light came on...very upset with my new light i took it back...the guys at cc gallery replaced it with a brand new one ...no questions asked...

 

took the new one home light was fully charged so i used it and noticed the red charge was on...no problem...plugged it into the iphone charger and left for a day...thats when i got interesting...the red light was still indicating that it required charging...very upset i contacted cc gallery again to complain.

 

while chatting to the chap he indicated that the other one i had returned was sent back to them because there was nothing wrong with it...i indicated that i had tried to plug it into my laptop and various iphone chargers with no joy.

 

well i learnt something new today...if you plug a lezyne light into a charger or laptop with the led facing up...you gona wait a looooong time and nothing is going to happen...you must turn the charger or the light upside down to charge the light or turn the light upside down if you plug it into the laptop to charge.

 

 

If the green light is not flashing...the light is not charging.

Bwahahahaha - had the same issue with my Cateye....until I turned it over...

My Lezyne is crap... its supposed to be 700 lumen and I get better lighting from my older 300 lumen Cateye.

Cateye Volt400 for the win.

 

For a small, self contained, USB rechargeable light it's awesome.

 

Fine for road riding and easy mtb at night but not quiiiiite bright enough for technical mtb at night.

 

I was testing at BCC last night and it ran 2 hours on full bright without dimming. Awesome awesome little light.

I have lots of lezyne stuff...floor pump hand pumps... lights...bomb adaptors etc etc...other than due to my own stupidity i cant say that i have ever experienced any quality issues with their products.
