Kingcantsing Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Hi guys, So I must admit that I am somewhat clueless when it comes to forks. I have the Suntour Raidon XC LO R 100mm but have no idea how much pressure to pump the front forks. I have heard some people say that the pressure should be double your weight, and I have heard others say that it should be equal your weight. I have checked the user manual and have not been able to find anything. Any assistance will be appreciated!
BenReaper Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Not sure about the Suntour, but the Fox forks are roughly youre weight +10PSI.I would recomend you go with that. When finished pumping move the rubber O-ring on the one leg of the fork to the bottom where it touches the dust seal. Now get youre weight on the bike in a still standing position, without pressing down on the fork. The fork should drop a bit when you get on,when you get off the bike the rubber O-ring will stay behind when the fork returns to its normal position. The gap between the dust seal and O-ring is known as SAG,the amount of sag should be around 15mm.If the sag is more you can ad 10psi to the fork pressure,if the sag is less then take about 10psi off. Repeat untill required 15mm sag has been reached and youre fork should be good to go. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
