The more I see all these retro bmx's, the more I want to kick my own behind for selling '83 mongoose expert. Itching to source and do a old retro bmx build

It is, But while I was stripping the frame I saw that red coupled with some other kinda gold. So it wasnt just one single colour to begin with.

Update thus far:

 

Managed to get my hands on some high flanged Suzue hubs (as oppose to the low's I had intended to put on)

 

Threw together a quick mock up of the bikes components so far. Namely:

 

-ACS Z-Rims

-Gold High flanged Suzue hubs

-Alps bar

-SR Aerox MII Stem

-MKS Foot Jaws/ MKS Grafights

-Silver/ Gold SR 3pc crank

-Gold Tange stem locknut

-Gold Tange Seat clamp

 

 

On a side note, does anybody perhaps know someone capable of repairing that middle strut of the bar for me?

 

Also, i am in dire need of a decent seat. Im not still going to fuss over whether its old or new school, as long as it doesn't weigh the earth and looks good. Any decent individuals lurking on here who might have one?
