Mawbs Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 The Enduro has some sexiness about it, although the Stumpy is not far behind in the looks department. I am a bit concerned with the 1x11 groupset on the Enduro though, as I am not the world's fastest climber, and need as much assistance as I can get. (hauling all these big bones up a hill has many drawbacks...) For instance, would the 1x groupsets leave me hiking the climbs such as Jonkers / Welvanpas, or should I then lean more towards 2x options? only thing i would do is change to an oval 28T upfront and you should be 100's
V12man Posted April 25, 2016 Posted April 25, 2016 If it has to be 1 bike only - then FSR Stumpy as a fun all rounder - if you plan to do the odd race - then a camber maybe - but not if you like serious trail riding. I do own an Epic and an Enduro 29er - Enduro is a great ride - but not for out and out long haul riding - the downsides are it's pretty low and I get a lot of pedal strikes during normal pedalling around - nothing too serious yet, but at higher race speeds it could get interesting, and it has a very upright pedalling position (harder to get power down when seated) - the upside is it is a great decender, and can climb.
