Bloemendal hosts round 1 of the 2016 Junior Eliminator Series

Sunday 24 April saw round one of the Junior Eliminator Series for the Western Cape take place at Bloemendal Wine Estate, Durbanville. After the large storm on Friday, riders and spectators were pleased to be greeted by sunny and warm weather conditions with a grippy track.

If you have never gone to watch one of these in the series you are missing out on seeing the future of SA XCO and who knows what other formats of MTB'ing their hearts eventually follow.

 

We went to watch them last year, and some of the youngsters certainly know how to handle their bicycles, and ALL the youngsters have the most infectious enthusiasm for mountain biking.
