Do you know for a fact that whatever frame is made in the same factory as Raleigh or are you just repeating BS you heard? Have you been to the East?

 

Do you know Merida has their own factory and manufactures Specialized? Yes' date=' Raleigh have a lifetime warranty and LOTS of people have used it. LOTS. And I'm not just repeating, I know this. But it's a LIMITED life-time warranty.

 

Some people buy a Raleigh. Like some people buy a Hyundai.

Other people buy a Specialized. Like some people buy a Audi.

 

Both will get you there, and in the right hands a Hyundai will get there before an Audi. But come on, do we still need someone to explain the difference to us?

I have to be careful when I make postings that it's seen in the correct context so I will stick with some facts.

 

The Slipstream Felt is made by ADK which is a Taiwanese company with a manufacturing facility in China. ADK also do our 2008 RC Limited and RC 7000 frames as well as many other brands available in SA.

 

In the case of Limited Life Time Warranty - You are correct about all the different interpretations. Manufacturers ex the East warrant a carbon frame generally for 3 years to the brand owner they manufacture for. Probike honours for a 5 year period to the original purchaser of the bike.

 

Regarding the 2007 frame failure that occured on the chainstay of our RC Team, RC 7000 and RC6000 - Dedacciai has warrantied all failures and should there be any hubber with an issue to a 2007 frame then a new 2008 frame is available immediatly although all known problems have been resolved.

Their first client was Cannondale, they supplied forks for them. The company was formed by five ex Giant employees. They have factories in Taiwan, Mainland China and USA
