I'm looking to buy a MTB. Finally! I have two options, Felt q720(R7000) or GT2.0(R6000 incl helmet and computer). Both "new" 2009 models. Any advice, suggestions, other options, opinions! Thanks guys!

Its not waterproof, that's the biggest drawback for me. Maybe its splashproof, but its isnt waterproof. Do you want to take that chance on a R3500 watch?

In the entry level, you get a lot more Felt bike than Trek bike for the same anount of moolah! Don't know about the upper end of the range.

I got a Felt F85 a month ago. Got the 2007 model at R1200 cheaper than the 2008. It has a combination of 105 and Ultegra components with a FSA compact crank. Paid just under R8000 for it. Worth every cent.
