Does anyone wear prescription goggles for open water swimming? If so, where did you buy them? I am tiring of the hassle of putting in and taking out contact lenses.

Jip. I bought a standard pair of flat lens goggles (I've got Arena's) and asked my optometrist to simply make prescription lenses which they glue to the back of the goggle's lenses. Works perfect.

Everything is already blurry and distorted in the water, what are you trying to see? The already almost invisible buoy?

Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out why? I wear glasses everyday, even have prescription lenses in my sunglasses and never once have I though I need to see better in the water...

Perhaps your eyesight is not as bad as mine? I like to see the buoys and it is helpful to be able to see the black line at the bottom of the pool.

Haha, good point.

I would think that the curve of the lenses and the distortion of the water would void any prescription anyway. Interesting. Maybe this is why I'm swimming so skew everytime... lol
