lerouc Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 I am looking at getting a dropper post, found a secondhand one and was wondering, what is the total length from seat rails to the minimum insertion point of the 350mm post. So basically at the moment with my current seatpost, from where the clamp sits on frame to my rails is 27cm, i want to know will i be able to fit the 350mm or would i need a longer one without going past the minimum insertion point on the post.

porqui Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Just make sure the dropper is in good condition - if it is an older model you will struggle to get a replacement cartridge as they have been discontinued.

And the wiper seals aren't replaceable. So once it's shot you throw it away. Rather look at KS or Rockshox - fully rebuildable and will last you a lot longer.
