Hi guys , hoping someone can help . Just got myself a set of Q&Rings . I have a SRAM red groupset but having a lot of trouble setting up my FD . It either over shifts , or the chain drops or there's way too much chainrub when in the small blade . Basically its just a mess . Does anyone know an Lbs who are experts in this ( Don't mean just a good Lbs , but an lbs who are well versed in Q rings ) . As a junior racing with elites something like a dropped chain or lack of a shift can cost you the race ????

Any advice would be much appreciated

The FD has not evolve to to accommodate oval chain rings Der are designing to catch the chain on the top part of the Der you will have to work out in what gear you are when it drop the chain and learned to ride it with in that limit chain catcher work for the in side nothing are available for the out side chain ring hop it helps

Just get it to someone who knows what they doing. Doesn't take a scientist to get it working. My LBS just needed 2 days in the space of 5 months to sort mine out. Only dropped the chain twice since fitting them and no issues at all in the last 1500km

The set up is not simple.  The gap between the derailleur and chain ring can only be set when the ring is at its largest effective size.  As the ring turns this gap opens considerably and the potential to drop the chain is great.  Trial and error to get it just right but the problem is always there.

A catcher on the inside will help prevent the chain falling off the small ring.  Token have a light one.

Somebody ask Chris what he does.  It's his fault that everyone is looking at these rings anyway!

If you were in Cape Town....I would have suggested Kurt at Magnet Speedy Cycles. ..installed the oval rings ..I did change the FD to the one with YAW...I had the normal force 10speed gruppo....worked like a bomb...
