Hi all, my wife currently rides a 29' on a small frame and wants to upgrade. A couple of the bikes the we are interested in are only available in27,5' with the small frame.. What are the pros and cons?

Many thanks

First rule - it's not about the wheelsize. :)

Small niners, depending on the stack height (height from the floor to the top of the head tube) may not suit certain people as they are, generally, taller than their sixer and 650b cousins.

Don't fret about the wheelsize. Comfort and geometry are everything.

Remember wheel size does not determine frame size

Rider size also does not determine wheel size but does determine frame size.

Your type of riding determines wheel size.

27.5 rolls better than 26er but not as good as 29er

27.5 should be easier than  29er on the more technical stuff like tight rocky single track.

I would say that 27,5 is good all rounder kind of bike.

Frame size is very important - more important than wheel size.
