you only need to align your gears if your gears are jumping :wacko:

 

If I recall his first thread, it was jumping, that's why he replaced it. :wacko:

 

In short OP, it might be necessary to "align" your gears by adjusting the indexing to fine tune it.

Just do a Google or Youtube search on how to do it. Then you know how to do it, should it start "jumping" again when you are out on the trails.

B.T.W., it is quite straightforward to do.
