DPG Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Morning All, Saw a cyclist being attended to by ambulances yesterday on the downhill going into camps bay around 09h30. Fire trucks on scene as well. Looked like he was ok possibly broken collar bone? Any details on what happened and if he is ok?
T-Bob Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Didn't see it but know of 2 people who have poked their collarbone on that little drop into Camps Bay in the last 6 months. There is a manhole cover / cats eye or something there that is a nightmare when it's a little damp in the mornings. Just gets super dodg', I've had a front wheel slip out on it not so long ago but managed to stay upright, again when it was early and was little damp. Hope they heal up quick. Meezo Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Someone mentioned it was oil/diesel lying on the road cyclist slid on here and hit the wall, my guess at speed. Again I'm not sure this is confirmed, this came from another cyclist who passed the scene
