Merida Scultura 5000 vs Scott CR1 20

I am facing a dilemma, which one of these two to buy.

 

On the one hand the Scultura comes with Ultegra vs Scott having 105. Also the Scultura has a better warranty on the frame.

 

On the other hand, the Scott has a better wheelset. I have also read a few reviews that state that the brakes on the Scultura aren't that great (full Ultegra groupo, but Merida brand brakes.)

 

I can get them at roughly the same price. Any opinions?

Merida for me way better value for money than with Scott.

You can always upgrade the calipers later on if you find they not adequate.

As for the wheels they both use Formula hubs and OEM rims so I they should be very similar, and in time a good wheel upgrade is probably the biggest single improvement you can make to a bike.
