  1. Hey Stretch, the town store closed a few years ago.
  2. That end cap has defiantly been sanded down. These are the originals. To my knowledge Roval have never had a hub with threaded end caps. So either it's not an original Roval hub or it's an old hub that is no designed to be TA compatible.
  3. What about adding the Nissan X-Trail to the list?
  4. You were spot on: Aviation: The Group owns and operates a fleet of aircraft for private and charter use, and employs an in-house crew of 10 people. The Aviation Department contracts services from Execujet for aircraft management and maintenance with oversight from Josie van Niekerk (Head of Aviation) and Dean Smith (Chief Pilot). The fleet consists of: Bombardier Challenger 850 – ZS-ZORBombardier Challenger 601 – ZS-SGCHawker Beechcraft Premier 1 – ZS-SRUAgusta 119 Koala – ZS-ZAMBell 430 – ZS-RTZ
  5. Defiantly should get my eyes checked. The missing winglets should have been a dead giveaway the it wasn't a Honda. Impressive sleuth work by the way.
  6. Yip, defiantly a Honda. I tried to find the tail number but to no avail.
  7. I flew out of King Shaka on Thursday night and as we arrived a Maybach was leaving so I took a little walk down the terminal and came across this. I could not make out the tail number but defiantly ZS-.....
  8. Those numbers are tame compared to some of the points the Duzi goes through!
  9. Also take a very small flat screwdriver and slip in between the male pins on both sides of the plug just to split them open ever so slightly more and thus have a tighter connection. This solved my issue after many hours wasting my time redoing the wiring.
  10. I'm also on Bonitas and have been extremely happy. I'm not one to visit the doctor regularly but when a proper job coming off the bike they pay out for all my emergency clavicle repairs of which there have been many.
  11. We fairly regularly get to those speed on the MTB's on one of our loops tar sections. The record stands at 99.8km/h with a slight tail wind Edit: Never seen or heard of tyre issues due to speed.
  12. If your shoes lifespan is halved by getting wet then you need to find another brand or ask for a refund. I know people who put there's in the washing machine and I soak and scrub mine regularly. I even go swimming in them to cool off on a ride and these are defiantly not cheap shoes. Edit: I have never had any issues of know of people who have apart from maybe you very entry level shoes.
  13. Riding through water does no more damage than washing your bike. Salt water is a different story altogether like the Imana rides but even then with proper precautions, a good wash every day and a full strip down and washout after the event everything is good. Mud is far more detrimental to your various components due to the sandpaper effect. A good wash, dry and lube is all that's required.
  14. Some good advice has been given above. Here are my few: Ride for the right reasons, I've had many friends go Pro for a few years and then chuck in the towel and never want to see a bike again so having fun in No.1.The weather and seeding play a huge role in this race, so no point worrying about things that are out of your control to a large degree but improving your seeding is a good start. If you are wanting to improve ride with people slightly stronger than you, sounds like you have this covered for now.Ride smart, This is free speed. Learn how to surf the bunch keep out the wind and read when a split is about to happen so you can anticipate moving up and save your legs as much as possible. This is even more essential if you are on junior gears as you have to be extra vigilante on the flats and downs. At your W/kg I would still recommend trying to start the climbs in the first 20 as this will allow you to slip back slowly if they really going or be able to go with the split and not have to close a gap.Train should include the basics: A good base (long slow distance), Hill work (raring intervals) and then Speed work (closed to the race, high cadence). This is just a rough plan and you don't need training plans, power meters or fancy bikes to keep the pro's honest, trust me I've done it. Try do as meany races as financially possible as this will help with the bunch skills and leg speed. Spend some time on the back of the bunch observing the dynamics and learning how and where to conserve energy. If you do want to get some former pro insider knowledge later on I know a few floating around CT that Im sure wouldn't mind going for a ride.
  15. Baby sitting this little guy.
  16. Defiantly not the brunette in the pic, that ended quite awhile ago.
  17. That sound about normal, I've had a few plates and that big costs are the plate at around 20k the theater at R250/min and then the surgeon depending it soft tissue repair is needed.
  18. Optical illusion as the center spoke goes to the oposit side of the hub as the two outer spokes. I'll second Morph and say originals.
  19. You think you have problems try being 186cm and 61kg and I will eat 99% of people under the table.
  20. I use a 12mm chain inside an old cut inner tube, put that through the bikes, wheels, rack and tow hitch.
  21. I used to work in the industry and We must have done plenty with no issues that I know of. I would recommend using a reputable engineering shop or bike shop that have done a good few. As for the strength issue it will obviously depend on the type and style of freehub hence my above recommendations, I think it's only about 1.2mm that needs to be removed.. Is memory serves there was one case where we had to machine the back of the cassette but I think that was for a Dura-Ace freehub. I'm not to familiar with your area but i'm sure Northcliff cycles can help you out. Have a read here: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/163070-machining-of-10-speed-freehub-body-to-11-speed/
