I know how you can save 20gr already.  Michelin Airlight tubes are only 40gr each.

BBB makes carbon headset spacers that's milled out and only weighs 13gr for a set of 50mm spacers. http://www.bbbparts.com/products/bike_parts/headparts/bhp35.html

And with Nokon or Alligator iLink cable sets you can save some more and not even mentioning the KCNC calliper set that's only 200gr.

Oh by the way, it's recommended that you always have a spacer above your stem if you have a carbon steerer. So move that 3mm/5mm spacer to above the stem.

Anyway, nice bike and many happy miles.

great bike. I like the bikes in the background also.

Thanks!

Ja, got three bikes in the lounge, and wheels lying everywhere...

The Carrera in the background is for sale, somewhere in the classifieds

Not sure about the tubes. Weighed them in the shop, and they said 40g on the box, but the scale said 78g. Also the Bontragers were relatively cheap at R76 each.

Definately looking into Carbon Spacers. Where can I get those BBB ones in Cape Town?

I bet you your bike for mine if you put it on a calibrated scale it will weigh more than 7.16kg.

Talking to me? My wheels way more then 7.16kg. I just think that if you go to all the trouble to weigh and quote the weight of each item on your bike, you will get someone that will point out where you can save some more seeing that you are bragging about it. And you could have gotten it cheaper aswell.

Weighed it at TWO bike shops on those floor standing scales, both measured 7.160g

How is it that the stem weighs nothing then, and you still get the figures to balance? I will beleive that when I see it. Send a pic to prove it. Also attach a recent calibration certificate for the scales used.

Or you know what ? - Forget it. As long as you are happy with it and you can sleep at night, its fine with me.
