This whole thread brought things also in perspective for me.

 

Got a Hansom mountainbike which is 26 years old. I have started training again after laying off for 14 years.

 

I was almost obsessed to get a new mountainbike. If I bought it I would have forced myself to train every day.

 

You are so right. First bring in the fun and later buy a new bike for the right reasons.
