Garmin Edge 520 Bike Profiles

Just upgraded my Garmin Edge 510 to an Edge 520.

 

A nice upgrade in every respect except for one - it does not support "Bike Profiles". I liked this feature on the 510 as I could set up my road bike and my mountain bike with their own profiles and track their odometer readings separately. In this way I was able to know exactly how far each bike has been ridden since new.

 

It has been replaced with Activity Profiles in the Edge 520 and this does not appear to log separate odometer history per profile. Is there perhaps a workaround to have separate odometers under Activity Profiles?

I just use GEAR to track my different ODO's. But for detailed bike tracking on components I use Strava.
