Just a warning to all you cyclist on the Van Galen trails.DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR THAT CAN BE SEEN whilst your car is left unattended in the parkin area.

 

 My car's window was smashed and 2 cycling bags, and other clothing items inside the car stolen. This happened on Sunday 11/12 between 7:20 and 10:30 despite the "security" hanging around the parking area. They are actually useless.

 

I must give kudos to Victor van Galen who assisted us to get hold of the police etc . Thanks Victor - but please consider the camera system and gate security that we discussed.

 

Also excellent service from the police at Hartebeespoort Dam. Because they took ages to get to van Galens, I decided to rather drove to the station to report. Very friendly and helpful service from taking the statement, fingerprints etc.
