On the radio on the way home yesterday evening there was a report of a rider hit by a car?

 

I was thinking of the rider the whole evening, anybody got any details or know if the rider is OK

On a sad note, junior club member Bernard Kapp, was seriously injured when he crashed into a car that suddenly stopped in front of him. He and another club member, Jacques Janse van Rensburg, were cycling along Old Oak Road late Wednesday afternoon when the accident happened. He was immediately rushed to Tygerberg Hospital.

Bernard injured his nose, face and neck, and lost some of his teeth. The chances are good that he will have to undergo an operation.

Bernard?s parents do not have any medical cover.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bernard and his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
