Bib Shorts

I have always used MTB shorts with the inner liner. Lately I find there is a bit of tenderness/soreness in that region and started re - thinking my apparel.

 

The inner lining doesn't seem to be as snug as I think it should be. I do use chamois cream but wondering if there is movement of the liner causing some tenderness.

 

Should there be movement? What does the bib shorts offer? Should I be looking at this option and what are the good reasonably priced ones?

 

As my inner liner is detachable, I can wear the shorts over it.

Everyone is different but I find that a thicker chamois chafes me more. That said, bib liners are a really good option with baggies. I have a pair of the atlas baggies with bib liners and I find them to be exceptionally comfortable, they are my go to shorts.
