bleedToWin Posted January 14, 2017 Share I'm looking for a place that can repair the buckle of my road shoe.I'm based in Stellenbosch. It's a Suplest Carbon shoe bought from CWC two years ago and I love them...The buckle (and one strap) got ripped clean off in collision with another rider, but I stayed upright! Jewbacca Posted January 14, 2017 Share A ratchet type buckle? Those screw on and off with a single screw. The 'strap' is also sometimes replaceable without any additional stitch work as it has a loop and lock system. The buckle is a quick 2 minute home fix, but the strap might be a bit more intensive depending on how they set them up. 99% of decent bike shops sell the buckles. bleedToWin Posted January 14, 2017 Share The buckle and the plastic base that it screws into ripped out completely and snapped the strap off also. There will be lots of stitching involved and need a whole new buckle/base/strap system, so I'm looking for someone that I can send the shoes to...I'll probably have to start looking for new shoes... Thomo Posted January 14, 2017 Share Rocksole in CTN was always the go to for sports shoe repairs. Not sure if their expertise extends to cycling shoes though.Try them or any other good shoe repair store.
Matchstix Posted January 14, 2017 Share Will also say rocksole.

I'm probably a bit late, but for future reference - Du Toit Skoenwinkel in Stellenbosch comes highly recommended (and is very versatile): https://www.facebook.com/DuToitSkoenwinkel/ Edited March 30, 2017 by KimM
